Arsenal lose ground on league leaders as Chelsea record comeback win

Femi Mohammed

Although it might be too early to write the gunners off the title race in what is turning out to be a crazy season, even the most believing of fans must at this stage have started to see this season going the way it always has in recent years. The gunners are presently looking at a possible 4th place finish again after a double by unknown kid Marcus Rashford and a stunner from Ander Herrera condemned the gunners to their 6th defeat of the season as goals from Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil couldn’t revive the failing gunners. Elsewhere in London on Saturday, a much-revived Blues team under Guus Hiddink came from behind to defeat Southampton. The Blues who are unbeaten under Hiddink had Cesc Fabregas and Branislav Ivanovic to thank after Baba Rahman’s first half howler had gifted Southampton the lead. Tottenham came back from behind to defeat Swansea 2-1 to solidify 2nd place while Willy Caballero was the hero at Wembley as he saved 3 spot kicks to see to Manchester City lifting the League Cup for the 2nd time in 3 years
