Towards the tail end of last week, Nigerians especially the youths excitedly anticipated the much talked-about Black Friday. Black Friday is a day set aside by shopping outlets around the World to slash prices on their products and services for their customers and clients. Shopping outlets like H&M as well as Walmart stayed true to their words and slashed their prices unbelievably having customers troop in massively to be a part of the big sales day. According to customers of online stores in Nigeria though, these retail stores have found a way to work around this so-called Black Friday. Speaking to certain customers of popular online retail stores in the country, most of them agreed to the fact that these stores inflate prices of goods few weeks to the D-day and then slash them to their real prices on Black Friday. According to unconfirmed reports, this was the technique implored by virtually almost all the stores who claimed to be involved in the annual massive discount day in Nigeria. If this is true, it really does say a lot about this companies. A day set aside to have your customers enjoy massive discounts on your products is definitely not too much to ask for.
